Kenneth K. Milligan joined Nevada Orthopedic & Spine Center, located in Las Vegas, Nevada, in 2022. He specializes in adult reconstructive surgery and young adult hip preservation surgery. Dr. Milligan is interested in treating labral tears, femoral acetabular impingement (FAI), hip dysplasia, and anterior approach hip surgery.
Dr. Milligan graduated from the University of Colorado Medical School in 2016. During this time, he also obtained a Master’s in bioengineering focusing on orthopedic biomechanics modeling. He was awarded the Outstanding Graduate Student Award in 2016.
After medical school, he completed an internship and residency at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. During this time, he trained with some of the leaders in direct anterior hip surgery, including Dr. Kristaps Keggi, the first anterior approach surgeon in the US. During residency, he also served as a guest lecturer for the University of Yale Engineering Department and student mentor, assisting students with their senior thesis on engineering projects.
After residency, Dr. Milligan completed a fellowship in adult reconstruction and hip preservation in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. He focused on complex & revision arthroplasty and outpatient total joints. Additionally, he spent time treating young adults with hip dysplasia, femoral acetabular impingement (FAI), labral tears and other hip conditions.
Dr. Milligan has published multiple papers in orthopedic biomechanics & modeling, hip preservation techniques, and femoral acetabular impingement. In addition, he has presented research at both local and national orthopedic meetings.
He enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids in his free time, rock climbing, backcountry skiing, and tennis. Dr. Milligan looks forward to exploring Las Vegas and the surrounding areas.
