Pediatric & Adult Sports Medicine

Dr. Thomas C. Kim was born in Seoul, South Korea and raised in Los Angeles, California. He attended Georgetown University College of Arts and Sciences in Washington, D.C. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry and a Minor in Theology. He was accepted early into medical school via the Early Assurance Program and went on to receive his Medical Degree at Georgetown University, School of Medicine.

Dr. Kim completed a year of general Surgical Training at the University of Virginia and received his Orthopedic Training at the San Francisco Orthopaedic Residency Program from 1995-1999. Dr. Kim then went on to complete his Sports Medicine Fellowship at Harvard University under Dr. Lyle Micheli, which included training at the Pediatric/Adolescent Sports Medicine Clinic at Boston Children's Hospital. During his Fellowship, he also provided coverage for the Boston Ballet and the Boston Marathon.

Dr. Kim is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and he is a candidate member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is a member of the American Medical Association, Sigma XI Research Society, American College of Sports Medicine, and Korean American Medical Association. Dr. Kim has been a valued member of Nevada Orthopedic & Spine Center since May of 2002.
