Dr. Arthur J. Taylor was born in Manhasset, New York. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in 1983 from Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York. Dr. Taylor attended the Chicago Medical School, University of Health Sciences and received his Medical Degree in June of 1988. He completed his Orthopedic Surgical Residency at the SUNY-Stonybrook University Hospital in 1993 and subsequently completed a Hand Fellowship at SUNY-Stonybrook University Hospital in 1994.

Dr. Taylor became Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery in 1996 and by the National Board of Medical Examiners in 1989. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and he is a member of the Nevada State and Clark County Medical Societies. Dr. Taylor also has a separate Board Certification for Hand Surgery through the CAQ Exam and is an active member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand.

Dr. Taylor practiced for two years as head of the Hand Surgery Section at Carle Foundation Hand Center in Urbana, Illinois and he also was a faculty member of the Department of Surgery at the University of Illinois, College of Medicine. He is currently an Associate Professor with the Nevada School of Medicine within the Departments of Hand/Replantation at UMC Hospital.

Dr. Taylor has been a valued member of Nevada Orthopedic & Spine Center since September of 1996. He focuses on the treatment of Hand, Wrist, and Elbow Disorders. He has specialty training in Microvascular Surgery and is actively involved in problems requiring Replantation or Transplantation of tissue.
