Roman A. Sibel, M.D.

Foot & Ankle Surgery

Dr. Roman A. Sibel was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Premedicine from The Pennsylvania State University in 1995. Dr. Sibel then received his Doctor of Medicine Degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania and Hahnemann University School of Medicine in 2000. His Surgical Internship and Orthopaedic Residency were completed at The Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. During this time he trained with Dr. Cristopher Kaeding, the orthopaedic surgeon responsible for the care of the Ohio State Athletic teams, including the championship Buckeye Football team. Dr. Sibel subsequently completed his Foot and Ankle Subspecialty Fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. During his Fellowship, Dr. Sibel trained under Dr. William G. Hamilton, the Orthopedic Surgeon for the New York City Ballet, American Ballet Theatre and School of American Ballet. In addition, Dr. Sibel trained with Dr. Martin J. O’Malley and Dr. John G. Kennedy who work with the New York Knicks and the New York Giants, respectively.

Dr. Sibel’s areas of expertise are the lower extremities, including traumatic and acquired deformities of the foot and ankle. He also specializes in arthroscopic procedures of the lower extremities.

Dr. Sibel is Board Eligible by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is currently a candidate member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society. Dr. Sibel joined Nevada Orthopedic & Spine Center in September2006.
